Research on synergistic substance that increased root surface area by 80% and improved phosphorus usage efficiency by 45% was published on top journal.

June 11, 2020, Dr. Min Zhang and his group from National Engineering Laboratory for Efficient Utilization of Soil and Fertilizer Resources in Shandong Agricultural University studied the effectiveness of regular diammonium phosphate, controlled-release diammonium phosphate, regular diammonium phosphate with ZNC and controlled-release diammonium phosphate with ZNC on Maize. The results were published on JCR section 1 journal Field Crop Research entitled “Maize yield and root morphological characteristics affected by controlled-release diammonium phosphate and Paecilomyces variotii extracts”.


3 years (2016-2018) field research showed that regular diammonium phosphate applied with ZNC can promote maize root growth, root activity, yield and economic returns. 


                                           Result Summary

1. Root growth promotion.  Scientists found that regular diammonium phosphate applied with ZNC can increase maize root length, surface area and improve root activity. 

Distribution of length, volume, surface area, average diameter of roots for different treatments in the soil depths of 0-20, 20-30 and 30-40 cm of maize at jointing stage (A1, A2, A3, A4) and mature stage (B1, B2, B3, B4).

2、Content of plant available-P in the soil improved.
